Holy Family Preschool

Welcome to Holy Family Pre-School!

We are very excited to welcome you to our new preschool provision, opening September 2026!

Our pre-school children will immediately become part of our Holy Family community. Our preschool children will be involved in all aspects of school life from Forest School, assemblies to Christmas plays!

Holy Family’s preschool will integrate the children into school life from the outset, where they learn the routines of school.

Focusing on a holistic, family-like environment, the school prioritises early years development through play,

communication, and exploration to ensure a confident start to education.

What are the benefits of children attending a preschool?

Preschool provides critical early education benefits, including enhanced cognitive development, better social and emotional skills, and improved school readiness.

Key Benefits of Preschool:

  • Language and Communication Development: Being in a social environment significantly expands a child’s vocabulary and communication skills. It is particularly beneficial for children with speech delays, as they learn by watching and interacting with staff and peers.
  • Social and Emotional Growth: Children learn essential interpersonal skills like sharing, taking turns, empathy, and teamwork by interacting with peers. It also helps build emotional resilience and self-regulation as they learn to manage separation from parents and express their feelings constructively.
  • School Readiness and Smoother Transitions: Preschool introduces children to structured routines, rules, and expectations, such as following instructions, standing in line, and group participation, which makes the transition to primary school much easier.
  • Cognitive and Academic Foundation: Quality programs provide early exposure to literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving through play-based learning.
